Hello. This is my personal site, Kaiteng. As for me... I think I'll go by the name Mallu here. I enjoy translating and fanfic, and I am quite enthusiastic about archiving (I guess as an extension to my interest in history). I have my own conlang which I've been working on since 2011. That is where the name of this site comes from: kaiteng means "something". I think that describes this site well, after all it's not focused on anything specific but has something in it. Being a Cajanian is an important part of my identity. I know that isn't an actual English language word but that's fine, this is my site so I can make up whatever words I want. Cajania is a historical English term for Kainuu. (j pronounced like y in yes.)
In the spirit of conlanging I also picked the music in the mini player there to the left: it is Jutenija, a song in a constructed language, originally made as a Vocaloid song.
I would gladly speak more of my interests in the realm of manga and other such nerdy topics, but I feel like if I go too deep into it, I am easily exposing myself. So more info of that on my listography.

My DNA
My DNA results. Because I have XX chromosomes, I'm pretty sure it only shows my mother-line (mitochondrial DNA).
I was quite surprised to see Inuit there because my family knows no information of such in our 'oral knowledge' or whatever stories pass down in the family. I looked into it, and the Internet showed me that quite many Finns have got this result; a small percentage of Inuit, that is. It seems that the likely answer is that both Finns and Inuits seem to share common ancestry in Siberia from millenia ago. Not that I was in any way descending from any Inuit. More proof to my theory comes from my "Inuit matches" on the website, most of whom are from Norway and at least some also provably Sámi (they had profile pictures in Sámi clothes). This shows to me at least that what I, many other Finns, some Sámi from Norway, and Inuits have in common is ancestry around the area of Siberia and Northern China.
My brother's DNA results, which are of course also mine but the paternal line (Y chromosome DNA).
This pretty much proved my above theory about the Sámi and Northeastern Asia connection. Though I wonder why it doesn't show Scandinavian as I have ancestry from there. But maybe it's just so that many Finns have that so it marked it as Finnish if it was distant or mixed enough or something? I have no idea. My Swedish ancestry is from 15-16th century Ångermanland and Umeå. Or maybe they weren't ethnically Scandinavians?

Hera
Just like the queen of the gods, you are not afraid of wrath. You are highly monogamous and protective of those you care about, and have a tendency to get jealous easily.
